Ice Fishing Jig for Whitefish
This whitefish mormyshka, hand-tied by Olavi Hentilä, has been specifically designed for ice fishing for whitefish. When you hold one in your hand, it feels much more than just a mormyshka, it's a true example of craftsmanship at its finest. For instance, the tiny hackle collar requires exceptional skill and precision, something only a master craftsman can achieve.
Olavi Hentilä, the man behind Lapin Morrit, is also a well-known whitefish angler on the waters of Lake Inari. Ice fishing for whitefish is his true speciality when it comes to winter fishing.
Although these mormyshkas are designed specifically for whitefish, they also work exceptionally well for ice fishing for perch.
Whitefish Jigs with Colours Perfected Through Years of Testing
Brown: A trusted choice for whitefish ice fishing. The natural colour combination closely resembles the whitefish's natural diet.
Red-Orange or "El Classico": This colour combination has proven extremely effective for whitefish, Arctic char, trout and perch. Interestingly, it has been particularly successful at attracting larger fish.
Chartreuse-Pink or "Tuulipuku": With colours straight out of an 80s music video, this eye-catching jig has performed exceptionally well for grayling in Lake Inari. Arctic char, perch and whitefish have also shown a strong preference for this colour combination. This jig features a glow-in-the-dark body.
The mormyshkas are crafted using 3.3 mm tungsten beads and equipped with premium-quality #10 Kamasan B170 hooks.
